Captain Cain Auditions
November 13, 2022 @ 8:00 am - November 15, 2022 @ 9:30 pm
The time period of the play is 1850’s – 1880’s.
Characters required are typical of the mix of classes in society in a new country: run holders, doctors, lawyers, businessmen, officials, servants, boatmen, gossips, wives and children.
Captain Cain a peppery old sea dog is the main character. Great sense of humour, respected businessman. He serves both as narrator and as an actor in the drama.
All other actors will have the challenge (and the fun) of playing multiple roles using only body language, voice and maybe a prop or item of clothing. (link below is an amusing example of one person playing multiple roles).
