ABOUT The Last Five Years 2nd – 5th Feburary
An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
Recently made into a movie starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.
Meet our two actors: Cathy will be played by ALI DIAMOND. Ali is a newcomer to the South Canterbury Drama League, but is no stranger to the stage having many credits both here and internationally to her name!
Jamie will be played by CAMERON LINES. Many will be familiar with Cameron’s work both onstage and behind the scenes for many SCDL productions in recent years. Cameron will again appear on the Playhouse stage and we have little doubt will delight audiences once again.
