January Theatre School Holiday Programme!

Registrations are now open for our January Theatre School Holiday Programme and we can’t wait to welcome our next generation of budding performers to the Playhouse.

Also, it’s our centenary….that’s right 100yrs of theatre in South Canterbury.

Join tutors Alice Sollis, Georgia Lines and Sam Roadley for five fun-filled days of theatre, creativity and performance.

Open to children aged 7 years and over, this programme is perfect for newcomers wanting to give theatre a go, as well as experienced performers keen to learn new skills and build confidence.

Working in our very own purpose-built theatre, students will explore acting techniques, dance, singing and much more. They’ll learn, develop and polish their performance skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

And the highlight? At the end of the week, students will take to the stage to showcase what they’ve learned in two special performances. It’s always a wonderful way to celebrate a week of hard work, creativity and fun!

DATES: Monday 11 – Friday 15 January 2027
TIMES: 9am–3pm daily, Friday till finished.
FINAL PERFORMANCES: Friday 15 January at 3pm and 4.45pm
